2p Sensors
To connect your 2p sensor to SlantView to download data or update firmware:
- Make sure your ethernet cable is securely
- It can take up to 45 seconds for your computer to assign an IP address to the sensor. Try waiting a few moments before pushing the "Connect to sensor" button in SlantView.
- The sensor must initialize before a connection to SlantView can be established. Wait until the Ambient Illumination Sensor (AIS) lights start blinking yellow (acquiring GPS) before pressing the "Connect to sensor" button in SlantView.
- Make sure SlantView is allowed to communicate through your public and private Windows firewall and any antivirus software.
- Open SlantView by right-clicking and selecting "Run as Administrator"
- Open the Windows Control Panel and navigate to the firewall settings in the System and Security tab, and create an exception for SlantView by selecting "allow app or feature through Windows firewall."
Depending on your computer's local permissions, Windows may block SlantView from opening when you initially run the program and display a warning message. To use SlantView, select the "Run anyway" option (sometimes hidden behind a "more info" tab or similar).
3p Sensors
To use the 3p Toolbox, connect to your 3p sensor via WiFi using the password "slantrange3p"
- The sensor must initialize before a connection to SlantView can be established. Wait until the Ambient Illumination Sensor (AIS) lights show solid green, yellow, and red--indicating successful bootup and in standby for data collection.
- Make sure the 3p Toolbox software is allowed to communicate through your public and private Windows firewall and any antivirus software.
- Open by right-clicking and selecting "Run as Administrator"
- Open the Windows control panel and navigate to the firewall settings in the System and Security tab, and create an exception for SlantView by selecting "allow app or feature through Windows firewall."
- If you see a solid red light on the AIS after bootup (indicating a memory card error), try to connect via WiFi and reformat the SD card using the 3p Toolbox.
